Nuru Massage for Guests in An Thượng

What really happens in a nuru massage in An Thuong — and how do you know it is the genuine thing?

In a genuine nuru massage in An Thuong, you shower first, then lie on a waterproof mat while your therapist uses warm gel made from seaweed extract to glide her whole body over yours, skin to skin, with almost zero friction. It ends with a second shower. At ShangHai Spa you can spot the real thing by three signs: proper gel, a real mat, and a wet room.

The Question the Whole Quarter Asks Quietly

Spend a month in An Thuong and you will hear about nuru. A travelling friend swears it was the strangest and best hour of his trip. Then the table laughs and the subject changes.

Heard about it at the bar, searched it in private

Nearly every guest tells the same story: heard the word in company, nodded like they knew, searched it alone that night. If that is how you got here, welcome. This page is the conversation nobody has out loud.

Why An Thuong is where nuru curiosity lives

This quarter is full of open-minded, long-stay travellers who swap real tips, not brochures. Word travels fast when something is good — and just as fast when it is fake. Here, reputation is the business.

Frequently Asked Questions About Nuru Massage

Common questions answered for visitors from An Thượng:

Use the checklist: thick, clear seaweed-based gel in generous amounts, a waterproof mat, a wet room with a real shower. Missing any of the three, it is an oil massage with a nuru label. Our setup has all three — ask before booking.

Yes on both. The gel is water-based and odourless, and rinses off fully in the shower that ends your session. Seaweed or iodine sensitivity? Tell us first and we will patch-test before the session.

Yes. The sequence is: arrive, confirm details, shower, mat work, second shower. The first shower is not a formality — warm, clean skin is what lets the gel glide properly.

Book 60 to 90 minutes. A half hour compresses the best part: the glide needs time to build. Ninety minutes is the length most first-timers thank us for suggesting.

No. Your total, session length and inclusions are confirmed by call or message before you arrive, and that agreement stands. There are no cleaning fees, no room extras and nothing renegotiated once you are on the mat.

Usually, yes. We run daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and first-timers often message in the afternoon for the same evening. At peak hours, an hour or two of notice helps. Still Curious? Ask Us Anything on WhatsApp Before You Commit Curiosity brought you this far. Let it finish the job, with zero pressure attached.
